Information Orillia


Information Orillia is an Information & Referral/Volunteer Centre located in the Orillia Public Library. We connect people with the services that they need, post volunteer opportunities to connect volunteers with organizations, provide year-round Income Tax clinic with a sliding fee scale, accept Good Food Box orders, create a weekly event electronic newsletter The HUB, and much more.


We are currently transitioning to a business model and would welcome a Business Administration student with open arms. We value our staff and students and believe in growing our human capacity internally by offering training and professional development. Our staff consists of FTE Operations Manager (a Social Work graduate of Lakehead University), 0.75 FTE Manager, Volunteer Services and Youth Engagement plus PT Chief Sustainability Officer. During the academic year we usually accept 2-3 student placements.


We are busy and there are an assortment of tasks including: data management, Social Media platforms, walk-in customer service, research projects, phone inquiries.Our volunteer Board has eight directors with well-developed skill sets and community knowledge.
