NorWest Community Health Centres

NW

NorWest Community Health Centres exists to respond to individual and local community needs by providing a range of services that improve the health and well-being of people and their communities. As an organization our vision is to promote social justice issues while also addressing the social determinants of health; to improve accessibility through overcoming system-based barriers; provide holistic, integrated, and comprehensive health care; advocate to improve both the services and system of care; promote cultural diversity and inclusion, and, respond to high-risk, vulnerable, and marginalized people who are unable to access health care.

We do this by providing a range of services to improve the health of people by providing primary health care, preventing illnesses, and promoting health to ensure that individuals have improved access to a range of primary health care services; receive appropriate treatment to address their primary health care needs; are motivated to assume responsibility for own health care; understand the factors affecting their health and how these can be prevented.

We strive to build the capacity of the health of the local communities and to their needs through community leadership, advocacy, and partnerships.
